I already have the 3 roadster models made by "Hobby horse" that cover the 1960 to 62 Indy winners, but was in 1959 that this Watson roadster model started. So I decided to buy another model and modify it to represent the 1959 Indianapolis winner driven by Rodger Ward (Team: Leader Card #5). Here is it disassembled and ready to be converted, removal of the hump in the left engine hood, relocate the oil tank and remove the rear tow bar.
It's finished, now I also have the 1959 Indy winner, the Leader Card #5 driven by Rodger Ward. This is a modified Hobby horse ref. 432. I am also including the family photo of the Watson Indy winners from 59 to 62.

Very nice build. I thought I was the only one who did this kind of stuff.
You inspired me to try a Hobby Horse roadster conversion of my own. After the first one I just kept going. I've done six conversions to date and have two more in the works. I may do one more after that because I've used up most of the available graphics.
You can see my conversions at:

Very good job Antonio!
